Meditating on what God has done, what He has promised to do, and what I desire Him to do caused me to launch into intense, fervent, and hopefully effectual prayer asking Him to glorify His name throuh this local, New Testament church. The body of Christ can not be powerless. As I was praying I began to tell God that He needed to empower His church and began thinking I sounded a bit like a spoiled brat. Wanting to make sure God knew I love Him, I began praising Him. It was axhilirating. The close of my prayer reminded me of an old lifesavers commercial.
A young boy and his dad are sitting on the ground watching the sun set. As the sun goes down and sinks below the horizon the little boy whispers in awe to his dad, "Do it again, Daddy!" Oh, yes! Do it again, Daddy! My Daddy really can, and will do it again.
It brought tears to my eyes.
